I think if you set up the account as a Microsoft Exchange account (http://thisministry.net/2011/0..., you will get the option of Contact syncing. Let me know if it works for you.

Weird, on my iPhone(ios 4) , the gmail account has calendar, mail , and notes as syncing options, not contacts. I'm using Gmail with Google Apps Standard. Have you tried it with that service?

Emilio,

Believe it or not, your post did help me to get through an issue that had frustrated me for weeks. Not only was this my first experience spinning up a Rackspace DEV environment, but also my first deployment of OpenX. After weeks of compaing environment configurations / PHP configurations to previous (older) server settings, and sending displays to the server logs I was about to give up until I saw you had success. Then it hit me, just kill my Fedora server, and try spinning up a new one. This morning, I created a LAMP Ubuntu 10 server, and almost like magic, all of my problems were solved.

Tim,
I did not have problems with the tabs. However, I found that looking over the server logs helps since all PHP error warnings will be saved there. That helped me identify problems that were not evident as they did not cause a PHP error. I would start there and see here it takes me. Let me know how it goes.

Great post, but I have a quick question for you. I, too, am setting up OpenX on a Rackspace Cloud server, but am having difficulty in that certain tabs in the administration panel produce blank screens. I have gotten OpenX to work under other hosting environments, and so far can only see that my Rackspace PHP version is newer (5.3.3). Did you have any issues in this respect, with your installation? Thanks!

I actually left that job and work on a LAMP platform now. All my experience was only on Unidata as my former employer had only planned to move over to MS-SQL recently.

I'm glad you are enjoying Church Director! Regarding the invites, the best way to build up your team is to add each person as a team member to the team. This creates an account for them. When you assign them their first assignment request, the email notification sent will have instructions on activating their account. I hope this clears things up a bit.

So far, the 7-Zip utility has worked well. The biggest problem I have had with the built-in Windows utility is the lack of support for *nix (and OS X) formats such as .tar and .gzip.
